18. The Gap

The Gap, Green Valley, UT

Jan. 27, 2014

I did this hike about 10 years ago and decided to try it again.  It was a lot of fun walking, bouldering and helping my 68 year old mother who sports two metal hips.  A perfect day for  a hike and there was even some leftover show on some of the shady North sides.

16. Condor Canyon Petroglyphs

Condor Canyon Petroglyphs, Panaca, NV

Jan. 26, 2014

I love these petroglyphs and come here often to photograph.  It is a trek to get here and this time I even encountered a skunk and some bulls. Neither being my favorite!

17. Pioneer Park

Pioneer Park, St. George, UT

Jan. 26, 2014

Pioneer Park, or the Narrows is one of my happy childhood memories.  Our family would journey down to Southern Utah once or twice a year to see my mom's sister and her family.  We would often come here and play in the hot St. George sun.

15. Sand dunes wash

Sand dunes wash, Lincoln Co. Nevada

Jan. 20, 2014

This was a beautiful hike out past the sand dunes and through a wash, past a lovely single hoodoo and out to the barren desert.

14. White Sand dunes

White Sandunes, Snow Canyon State Park, Utah

Jan. 4, 2014

This was a very short hike near Snow Canyon State Park, Utah. It was deceptively cold and windy.  A fun one for kids on a warm day.  Lots of very cool sandstone and one VERY wacky tree. LOL.
